If you’re looking for a whiter smile in just one appointment, Philips Zoom In-Chair Whitening is one of the most effective professional whitening systems available. At Gisborne Dental Group, we use this advanced technology to safely lift stains and brighten your smile, all under the supervision of our experienced dental team.

Philips Zoom is a professional-grade whitening treatment performed in the dental chair. It uses a specially formulated whitening gel that is activated by a blue LED light to break down deep stains and discolouration. The process is quick, comfortable, and can whiten teeth by multiple shades in a single visit.

Zoom whitening may be ideal if your teeth are discoloured from:

• Coffee, tea, red wine or certain foods

• Smoking

• Age-related enamel changes

• Certain medications

It is not suitable for everyone. It will not change the colour of fillings, crowns or veneers, and may not be recommended for those with certain types of staining or dental conditions. Our dentists will assess your smile and advise whether Zoom whitening is right for you.

• Noticeably whiter teeth in around 60 minutes

• Professional supervision for safe, even results

• Advanced light-activated technology for effective stain removal

• Reduced risk of sensitivity compared to over-the-counter options

• Long-lasting results with proper care

1. Consultation – We assess your oral health and discuss your whitening goals.
2. Preparation – Your lips and gums are protected, leaving only the teeth exposed.
3. Whitening – The Zoom whitening gel is applied and activated with the LED light in several short sessions during your appointment.
4. Finishing Touch – Once complete, we provide aftercare instructions to help you maintain your brighter smile.

With good oral hygiene and healthy lifestyle habits, Zoom whitening results can last 12 to 24 months. To keep your smile brighter for longer:

• Limit stain-causing food and drinks

• Avoid smoking or tobacco products

• Maintain regular dental check-ups and cleans

• Use touch-up whitening treatments as recommended by your dentist

We provide transparent, upfront pricing for all whitening treatments. The cost of Philips Zoom whitening will be discussed during your consultation so you know exactly what to expect.
